I was 15 when Chrono Cross came out, and though at the time I was reading some poetry in my English classes, it was the video game that sold me on the power of verse.
We, as players, were instructed to go out into the world and collect data on monsters, that data often including a horrific backstory.
Is my fanfiction good? Of course not. Does it matter that it’s terrible? Also: of course not.
